The 2012 U.S. presidential Republican debate party is a series of political debates held before the 2012 Republican primaries, including candidates for the Republican nomination for the 2012 national presidential elections. The first debate took place May 5, 2011 in Greenville, South Carolina, and was hosted by Fox News.

May 5, 2011 - Greenville, South Carolina :
The first Republican debate was the Peace Center, Greenville, South Carolina. It 'was broadcast live on 90 minutes of Fox News, FoxNews.com, and Fox News Radio. Candidates participating in the debate included Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.Criteria to engage in the debate did not allow several other candidates or potential candidates to participate in debate, including Buddy Roemer, Gary Johnson, and Fred Karger who do not meet the requirement of a vote of at least 5% in national polls.Several else can potential candidates, including Jon Huntsman, Rudy Giuliani, and Sarah Palin refused to participate.
The discussions were moderated by CNN's John King of King John, the U.S. and featured several other contributors CNN.
After the debate, drew the attention of Congress, Michele Bachmann, who has announced that it had been left to stand for President of FEC in the United States during the debate.
August 11, 2011 - Ames, Iowa :

The third Republican debate was held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, sponsored by the Iowa Republican Party, Fox News and the Washington Examiner. He was received by Bret Baier with Fox News Sunday host Chris themes Wallace and Susan Ferrechio Washington Examiner and Byron York. Baier and Wallace were praised for their moderation of the debate.was broadcast live for two hours at FoxNews.com Fox News. Candidates participating in the discussion were Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman Jr. and Rick Santorum. Palmetto Freedom Forum :
American Policy Forum, sponsored by the Palmetto, which was held September 5, 2011 Palmetto Freedom Forum in Columbia, South Carolina, hosted by Senator Jim DeMint and Representative Steve King, Robert P. George, founder of American principles of the Project. Five candidates spoke at the Forum, including Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, and Newt Gingrich. Claims of bias :

The "rule of Gary Johnson"
