NFL Week 10: Matt Schaub May Be The Last Year :
Texans quarterback Matt Schaub is indefinitely with a foot important''blessure "right and will miss at least the next game in Houston in two weeks.
The production of multiple new reported yesterday that Schaub has an injured the Lisfranc joint in his foot, an injury that could result in a final operation of the season.
Coach Gary Kubiak would not say if Schaub will miss the rest of this year.
"There are many things said,''Kubiak said." It will be in a fit over this week, and then continues the evaluation process.''
Kubiak said the team was a specialist in Indianapolis to evaluate Schaub, and the quarterback would fly to Charlotte, North Carolina, later this week for further processing.
Kubiak said Schaub was injured in a piece of the end zone late in the second quarter of Houston 37-9 victory over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Schaub has been in the game, but threw only three passes in the second half.
"He has a foot injury more, he plans to leave for some time,''Kubiak said." But we will do our best to do it properly evaluated and see if we can get back on the football field.''
The Texans (7-3) have won four straight games and share best record in the AFC with Pittsburgh ahead of their bye week. Kubiak said veteran Matt Leinart will start at Jacksonville on Nov. 27.
Leinart appeared in one game without any pass attempts since signing with the Texans in 2010. He went from 70 to 10 as the starting quarterback of Arizona in 2006 to 09
"They know I work and study hard and I feel very well prepared,''Leinart said." Let's take this and go play the game and I do not change much.
"My heart goes out [Schaub]. But he knows, and everybody knows that in this profession, things happen, and the boy next door has intensified. And 'my job and my responsibility.''
Schaub, acquired from Atlanta in March 2007, has started every game in Houston since the beginning of the 2009 season.
Texans already lost sacks leader Mario Williams (chest) and late season injuries. They hope to be a star receiver Andre Johnson back for the next race after Johnson was six games with a hamstring injury.
Vick Has Fractured Rib :
Michael Vick broke two ribs below the second game of the Eagles' loss to Arizona on Sunday and did not tell anyone going to play through pain and has a terrible performance (16 of 34, two interceptions) .
"He said nothing, not a word. It is hard,''said head coach Andy Reid yesterday." He said he actually played and erased. . . and do not really think twice.''
Vick State for the next game on Sunday night at Giants is uncertain. He missed three games last year with a rib cartilage injury.
Obscenity "a mistake"
The NFL is watching an online video showing Jets coach Rex Ryan with an obscenity, while anger at a fan at halftime of the loss of New York at night Patriots on Sunday.
Greg Aiello said NFL spokesman of the League is aware of the 49 seconds video shot by a fan showing the Jets to walk off the field. When Ryan displayed, is heard someone yell, "Hey, Rex, Belichick is better than you,''referring to Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Ryan looked up and said fan to "shut op''samtidig using an obscenity.
"Obviously, you know, made a mistake,''Ryan said yesterday." It was full of excitement and jumped out, and obviously representing the National Football League and I know that I represent the Jets. I know it was a mistake and I apologize. This is what I am. I made a mistake.''
It is possible Ryan could face a fine of the team or league.
Moreno Is No Longer :
Run-heavy Broncos play the rest of the season without back Knowshon Moreno, who has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Sunday in Kansas City. Denver has contributed to the running back Jeremiah Johnson leads the team meets Moreno roster spot. Redskins receiver Leonard Hankerson will miss the rest of his rookie season with a dislocated hip and torn labrum. Hankerson had his first 100-yard game Sunday against Miami.
