UO Linebacker Austin Box Death Attributed To The Mixture Of Paink :
Five medications were found Linebacker Austin Box, into the bloodstream after his death, a mixture which has been mentioned for the probable cause of his death, the toxicology report was published in the state medical examiner.
The UO football player had oxymorphone drugs against pain, morphine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone and oxycodone in his system when he died May 19 after being found unconscious in a friend's house in El Reno.
Drug Alprazolam, commonly known as Xanex, was found in the box as well. Xanex commonly used to treat anxiety.
Box had an enlarged heart and a history of chronic pain, the report said.
The cause of death was listed as pulmonary edema and aspiration pneumonia. Pulmonary edema occurs when the lungs of the body is filled with liquid and is often caused by heart failure, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information website. Aspiration pneumonia is caused when the lungs breathe in the foreign materials such as liquids or foods.
The death was classified as an accident, the report said.

Gail and Craig Cash, Cash Austin's mother and father, said in a statement that her son was happy and always willing to help.
"His biggest fear was to disappoint the other, if his teammates, coaches, friends or family," the family said in a press box. "His 22 years of life, he never thought of complaining, because he felt that he had received so much."
